Bricks releases information about the upcoming new features and improvements in version 1.12 and brings one of the most requested features. As this is a beta, you will need to download the update in your Bricks Account and install it manually.
The most important changes & innovations in brief:
- components (experimental): One of the most requested feature requests has now made it into the experimental status in the Builder. Components can be used to create reusable and customizable elements, which can ensure a scalable and consistent workflow.
- Dynamic data in Query Loop: The "Include" and "Exclude" options in the query loop have been extended. You can now use dynamic data tags to flexibly include or exclude posts based on fields such as ACF or Meta Box.
- Optimized CSS loading order: Bricks has improved the loading order of CSS files. This minimizes unstyled content (FOUC) and layout shifts (CLS), resulting in a more stable and professional appearance.
- Cascade layer for standard styles: Cascade Layers is a new experimental feature which can better handle styling issues with Bricks standard styles. This ensures more flexibility and consistent code.
- Display of external post content elements: When working with templates, the outer post content elements are now also displayed directly. This makes it easier for you to edit and adapt the page in context.
