24 GDPR checks for 25hours Hotels - Hotel chain in Germany, France, Italy, Dubai & Co.

25hours hotels DSGVO checks

Short Summary to the project

Start: 16.08.2022 | Go-live: 30.11.2022 | GDPR checks

In August, Felix, the hotel chain's Head of E-Commerce, contacted me via my website to talk about data protection issues. During the meeting, it turned out that it was specifically about 24 websites, all of which had to be made GDPR-compliant.

Thanks to my GDPR packages Felix was already informed about the scope and price and we were able to agree on a collaboration very quickly.

We started with 3 coordination meetings so that I had access to all the necessary information, websites and tools, coordinated the findings report in detail and generally gained a precise insight into the extensive website landscape.

The results were 24 Reports of findingsdetailed all current GDPR vulnerabilities of the individual website. The main focus here was on the proper use of Google or Adobe fonts, correct use of cookies, checking the legal notice and privacy policy, use of social media content, double opt-in procedure for newsletters, GDPR-compliant hosting and video integration with Content Blocker.

I also created a document with General, current recommendations on the subject of data protection.

In addition, although this was not agreed, I corrected the Setup of the used Cookie Consent Tool (https://www.consentmanager.net). This was about using the correct purpose texts, listing all cookies and providers used per website and classifying them correctly according to purpose (essential, functional, marketing).
