From businessman to bachelor and software engineer to web designer based in Dubai
I have always been attracted to the idea of living abroad. In August 2021, I took the plunge and emigrated to Dubai.
With the move, I transitioned from my full-time job as a software engineer and part-time self-employment as a web designer to full-time self-employment.
Because it's always the first question: Why Dubai? For personal reasons, I had been visiting Dubai regularly since 2016 and had come to appreciate the city and its quality of life—especially its boundlessness and safety.
In Dubai, business mindset and a positive attitude to life can be found like in hardly any other city. Dubai is also a perfect starting point for traveling.
The majority of my clients are still from Germany. However, they also come from Austria, Switzerland, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, and the United Arab Emirates. Distance and time differences (2 hours in summer and 3 hours in winter) are no longer a problem these days—on the contrary, you can use them to your advantage and that of your clients.
